Thanksgiving has always been a special holiday for every American. It occurs on the fourth Thursday of November every year. It started before America founding when the Pilgrims were helped by the local Native Americans and celebrated their alliance with a celebration. Thanksgiving has been an important holiday in America ever since then.
For many people Thanksgiving is a time for gratefulness and celebrating friends and family gatherings. Some things people do during Thanksgiving is flag football, hunting for pumpkins, potato sack race, volunteering, playing games, and most importantly eating tons of food.
Some examples of Thanksgiving decorations include but aren't limited to Turkeys, pies(most well known apple pie), fall leaves(orange, red, yellow, and sometimes brown), corn, pilgrim hat(otherwise known as the capotian), and pumpkins.
But most importantly Thanksgiving brings great memories for everyone involved in the event. Everyone has one Thanksgiving that was most special.
One of my favorite Thanksgiving was last year. I decided to bake brownies for a surprise for my family. However due to the lack of the proper ingredients I ended up making cupcakes instead. Yet, It is still my favorite Thanksgiving as I got to bond with my Mom who helped me make the cupcakes. Also I got a neat new scar for burning myself.
